Self-Respect (w.i.p. #2) by Wundertastisch Self-Respect (w.i.p. #2) by Wundertastisch

wip shot of an illustration I'm currently working on. I showed you the initial sketch a couple weeks ago and finally found some time to work on it some more.
Unfortunately the adhesive strips I used to pin my sketch to the sketchbook to transfer it, ripped the paper in multiple places, so the planets are kind of a happy accident, because I created them as well as the border on the left and right to cover it up. I think it turned out rather well considering :D <3

When was the last time you needed to get creative to fix some major issues with a piece? I always love to learn something new! It might help me out next time something goes terribly wrong. x.x

You fixed it very well! We cannot see anything and it seems very natural! ^^ I often need the colours to fix some inking errors... xD Just today I've started to colour a troll I've inked some weeks ago. As I did a mistake when I inked the fabric he wear around his legs so I've decided to colour it in black.. xD But finally it suits well so. ^^ Like your planets :D!

Aww, that makes me happy :D Ui, I can't wait to see your troll. I'm sure he looks awesome! Yes, I sometimes think all those little mistakes and how we deal with them makes the final artwork what it is. Without it would be lacking something :D

Oh no! At least you managed to fix it :) since my major works are digital I don't have to worry as much, it's more like painting on the wrong layer and messing up that way. It's very frustrating but not as hard to fix, I dodrmeme ear when I was younger telling my mum I made a mistake and turned it into a tree haha

Painting on the wrong layer and not having enough history to go back can be frustrating too. Haha, it's great to have all those little stories and memories. Maybe you can make it into a mini comic or something :D <3
